What Is PPBL Fastag?
Paytm Payments Bank Limited (PPBL) is a leading digital bank in India with over 330 million digital wallets. Fastag allows you to drive through the Fastag lanes without having to stop to pay the toll taxes.
PPBL Fastag is a reusable tag that works on radio–frequency identification technology ( RFID). Each tag is linked to a registered Paytm Payments bank wallet which allows automatic deduction of toll charges. You can purchase, manage, and recharge Fastag on Paytm.
This program is a part of the National Electronic Toll Collection ( NETC) initiative, NHAI (National Highways Authority of India) and IHMCL ( Indian Highways Management Company Limited ).
Since December 2023, there has been a total of 8.12 crores of Fastag which were issued throughout India.
Why Was PPBL Fastag Suspended? Possible Reasons.
From a recent Reddit app post, it was found people are posting their queries about the sudden suspension of PPBL Fastag.

People are getting messages in their SMS about the suspension of PPBL Fastag.
There are many possible reasons for the suspension.
The first reason being present in the message, ‘due to non-submission of RC document.’
But after clicking on the link provided, it keeps on loading but leads to nowhere.
The second reason can be considered which is, through an IHMCL audit it was presented that Paytm Payment Bank Service Level’s agreement SLA was not being followed. So, they were not allowed to issue new Fastags to anyone.
Also, there is a restriction for New toll Plazas for taking Paytm services.
What can be the possible solutions for the violation of the PPBL set agreement?
Through a published letter from IHMCL, it was asked from Paytm authorities, what compensation should be imposed for not following the rules.
Relief for current users, as there will be no effect of suspension of PPBL Fastags on current accounts.
Also, NHAI, said other authorities providing Fastags are also on the radar, in upcoming weeks there will be an investigation for other platforms too.

The next question that arises from customers is how to upload to RC in Paytm Fastag. Since the message has been delivered from Paytm upload the RC document through the link provided. But the link is either showing not working or directs it to a blank page, because of this customers are not able to upload their RC document.
However, there have been no recent updates regarding this through Paytm.
