On 31st January, Hemant Soren resigned as the CM of Jharkhand and was arrested by Enforcement Directorate (ED), on the same night, Sudhir Chaudhary made some offensive comments regarding Hemant Soren and entire SC/ST community in his prime show ‘Black and White (B&W)’.
First, he made comments on Hemant Soren and his family, who belong to SC/ST community, wether they should be ‘given reservation’ or the benefits of SC/ST act.
He also said that Hemant Soren’s jail night might be like going back to 30-40 years like Adhivasi in jail and commented on his lifestyle.
Secondly, after this he made comments regarding the SC/ST community, that, economically well-off people should not be given the rights and aids of the community and he also said tribal community is ‘poor’, belongs to jungles.
This instigated the tribal group, Adhivasi Sena in Ranchi and an FIR was filed against him for the comments against Scheduled Castes and Tribes.
